Day 4 Is Over… Here We Come Day 5

Well we did survive day four. I do believe that some off us finally hit the “wall”. If you have been on a mission trip before you know what I am talking about. It is the mixture of being tired (mentally and Physically) missing home.,.,.,.,., But anyway God is good and He has allowed us to get so much done! He has also kept us injury free! Pray for us today on Day 5 as we push to finish the building at Darbyville First Baptist!

Day Three Begins!

Wow yesterday was busy.. We got so much accomplished so much between our construction team and VBS team! First let me say our VBS team has brought it all together and the first day had 15 kids show up. This team is amazing! Please pray for them as they minister to the children in the St. Charles VA area. They may be sharing the Gospel with the one that will be the preacher that preaches the sermon that starts a great revival in the Appalachian Mtns!

Our construction team accomplished so much yesterday!!!! We unpacked and worked in the rain. Our students and adults sucked it up and got wet. God blessed us later by allowing the sun to shine!!!

Day Number Two

We have survived another night….. God blessed us with rain yesterday and of course His timing was perfect……. It was almost time for us to wrap up and the downpour started…

The students are having a great time. We had a great time of worship last night and then fun as we played “spoons” Ultimate and Dominoes (The Mexican Train)…..

A couple of things to pray for specifically today!

1) VBS starts today…. Pray that God will bless the VBS workers with patience and give them the words to say….

2) Construction continues as we complete putting the trusses up and we pray that we can get the roof completed today!

We arrived in Jonesville yesterday @ around 4:30.

We are up and going. Just so you know everyone made it through the night! We are excited about what God is going to do today! Be praying for our our safety as we travel to our job sites.

So what is the construction team doing today….. We are starting on the mission building at Darbyville FBC…… I will post pics tonight…

I am so excited about the mission trip…. Believe it or not we leave Sunday @ 10am! I know when I get excited about trips and packing I tend to forget stuff. So, I though I would remind you of the things that I would forget…

Time is counting down to our departure. I am so exciting to see what God has in store for us in Virginia. Just a quick not while I am thinking about it… We are leaving at 10am (that’s for you Becky Smith). Anyway, I want to encourage everyone to be in prayer about the trip. Whether you are going or you will remain in Winchester you have a huge part to play in the KINGDOM WORK!!!!! It still amazes me that God still chooses to use us. Be encouraged HE is at work!

Hey all! the mission trip is getting closer and I am getting more and more excited! I am looking forward to what God is going to do in Virginia. The exciting thing is……. He is going to use you! Thats right, I said you.

One of the great ministries by the Baptist Association in Lee County, VA is their clothing closet. Every year they have shoes that they give out to the community. This is perfect timing as the kids in the area are going back to school!….. So, how can you help????

Winchester First Baptist will be leaving on July 25th for Lee County VA to do a week long mission trip. We created this blog to help those that can’t go an avenue to be able to keep up with what is going on before, during and after the trip.
